Owen Washburn reflects on his bull riding career as he prepares to be honored ~ Justin Felisko

One of Owen Washburn's signature moment was actually after his 1996 World Championship, when he became the first to ride Hammer. He did it again, earning a then PBR record $125,210 in a single event. What the series showed was Washburn's unique combination of talent and swagger that not only drove him to a World Championship but also helped him rise to any challenge. That talent and drive is what will be honored as he is inducted into the PBR Ring of Honor.

Of the 40 riders competing at this weekend's BlueDEF Finals, five will qualify to compete at the Built Ford Tough World Finals. One of the four international invites will qualify to compete at the World Finals. The Top 2 of the BlueDEF Tour standings (not already in the Top 35) and the Top 2 finishers of the BlueDEF Finals event results will also move on.

Allen: “World Championship would be the pinnacle” ~ Justin Felisko

Jared Allen doesn't want Air Time to go without a World Championship title on his resume. As such, he's raising the stakes, and placing a $25,000 bonus on Air Time during the World Finals. Allen hopes that the challenge will help raise both the riders and Air Time's game so he can prove that he is the rightful champion.

BlueDEF Tour announces qualifiers for BlueDEF Finals ~ Heather Croze

Forty riders have qualified for this weekend's BlueDEF Finals at the South Point Arena in Las Vegas. Among them are six BFTS riders and two-time PRCA bull riding champion Sage Kimzey. Each of them will be fighting for the win and one of five spots to the Built Ford Tough Finals the following week.

The World Champion Bull race field is set ~ Heather Croze

Nine bulls will compete for the World Champion Bull title at the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas Nov. 2-6. SweetPro's Bruiser leads the qualification field that includes last year's champion SweetPro's Long John and Jared Allen's Air Time. The winner will be the bull that combines for the highest score in two outs during the World Finals.

8 to Glory bonus placed on Jared Allen's Air Time ~ Jordan Marie Hebert

A special bonus will be placed on Jared Allen's Air Time during the Built Ford Tough World Finals courtesy of 8 to Glory, the official mobile game of the PBR. Any rider that draws Air Time during one of his two outs will receive $2,500 if they are bucked off and Air Time is scored 46 points or higher. The big bonus, though, will be the $25,000 bonus given to any rider who can reach 8 seconds on Air Time.

Outlaw is coming into World Finals hot ~ Justin Felisko

Chase Outlaw was far removed from his reconstructive shoulder surgery as he stood upon the shark cage as the winner of the Cooper Tires Take the Money and Ride BFTS event. After two surgeries on both his shoulders in the past 18 months, it looked as if his 2016 season was done after missing the first half. After returning to riding in the summer, Outlaw banked points and continued his success in second half. Now he's looking to end the season with a World Finals event win.

2016 World Championship race far from over ~ Justin Felisko

The 2016 world title race is shaping up to be one of the closest in PBR history. The Top 3 riders in the world are separated by less than 700 points and there is 3,300 points available for one rider at the World Finals. The Top 16 riders in the world standings are still mathematically alive in the title race.

Valdiviezo hanging onto last Finals spot ~ Justin Felisko

Jorge Valdiviezo is trying to hold on to the last spot in the world standings (35th) and qualify for the World Finals. Valdiviezo has a slim lead on other bubble riders, such as Fraser Babbington, Dakota Buttar and Keyshawn Whitehorse. Reese Cates is also trying make a last-second push for the Finals and was an early morning replacement for Robson Palermo in the Tucson draw.

Music acts at World Finals have strong connections to PBR ~ Andrew Giangola

Country Superstar Dustin Lynch will join the spectacular cast of music acts playing at this year's PBR Finals Week. The rising star joins Lita Ford, Jerrod Niemann, Warrant, George Thorogood & the Destroyers and headliner Steven Tyler.
